The Future of Technology and Telecom for Small to Large Businesses

We can already see the steady increase of businesses heading towards the Cloud. There’s been a steep rise in mobile devices (BYOD) as well, getting employees independent of their cubicles and desks. Right now the emphasis for businesses is becoming more efficient with an ability to keep pace or be ahead of technology while meeting budget requirements and a fluctuating economy. Cloud computing and technology can offer a business all of that- of course a business should consult a Telecommunications Agent before adopting Cloud services. https://nwmap.com/contact-us

Gartner says, “As cloud adoption expands, IT departments will have to create “cloud services brokerages” to serve as a central focus for managing access to external services.  http://www.infoworld.com/d/mobile-technology/gartners-top-10-tech-trends-2013-205522?page=0,1 With Cloud Computing small businesses can communicate and run business as large organizations do. They can compete because the Cloud is cheap considering all that it offers. And large businesses stand to benefit with harnessing the power of mobile/off-site employees or specific departments who have a variety of needs and of course there’s implementation of effective disaster recovery. (Telecommunications) Agents and The Cloud

Recent media has everyone from small business owners to telecom agents, talking about cloud computing. What does it mean for everyone? Certainly we’re becoming more aware of the advantages and disadvantages thus far. Agents who are looking to provide solutions for clients, and add one more option to their portfolio, might find the cloud useful. IT and others are always concerned about the cloud and security. Security is one of those issues in any area that as advances are made in technology, so are the security boundaries stretched as well both those trying to protect and those trying to invade.

The most important factor in agents working with the cloud is being knowledgeable about it. There are many things to learn, especially concerning where the cloud fits into various types of businesses and clients’ needs. Basically, agents need to be smart about it because the cloud can be a selling advantage. Agents must be familiar with the questions clients are asking- relieving fear and doubts and instilling information and knowledge instead. Some clients won’t even know what questions to ask or where to start so agents can use this opportunity to begin a conversation about the cloud to prospective clients.

What the agent should find, and may already realize, is the cloud should be utilized for businesses and clients that will truly benefit for it. Provide answers and info as objective as possible, giving clients a chance to get informed without sales pressure.

“Cloud computing services by definition enable resource sharing across multiple  data centers and other resources. This capability creates the opportunity to  reduce the peak capacity (measured in numbers of simultaneous active virtual  machines) of each data center down toward the average capacity of all data  centers. This is accomplished by using the network (cloud) to shift capacity  from highly utilized data centers to those with slack capacity….

Resource pooling using the cloud computing model also can be used to improve  service availability at lower cost by eliminating the need to build redundant  system elements into each data center. Network performance also is enhanced by  pooling resources to improve network accessibility and agility, and reduce  network latency and packet loss.”
